Taking Care of You
Initial Appointment (£65)
An osteopathic consultation typically lasts an hour to allow the osteopath adequate time to:
Listen and ask questions about your problem, general health, medical care you are receiving/medication you are taking. All information you provide is confidential.
Assess you to gain a thorough understanding of your condition; it is likely that you will be asked to remove some of your clothing, so ideally bring cycling shorts to your appointment. You can ask a friend or relative to accompany you and be present during your appointment.
Provide treatment if indicated, which typically includes joint manipulations and mobilisations, massage and osteopathic/naturopathic advice.
You will be given a clear explanation of findings (your diagnosis) and a treatment plan tailored to you will be discussed. You will also be checked for signs of serious conditions that an osteopath cannot treat and you may be advised to see your GP or go to hospital should any be present.
For babies and toddlers initial appointments bear a similar structure. We will discuss in detail the pregnancy, birth and what has followed. A full examination of the infant will then be given and the achieved diagnosis explained. Following this, treatment is provided. Babies and toddlers often enjoy osteopathic treatment, and the treatment room is a calm zone where the focus is you and your little one's comfort. Home visits do NOT incur an extra fee if they are in Windsor or Central London. Home visits outside of these areas are £80-£100 depending on distance.
Follow-up Appointment (£50)
During follow-up appointments (40 minutes) you will be reassessed and receive osteopathic treatment according to findings. This will typically be in line with the treatment plan outlined during your initial appointment, but may deviate depending on your progress. Home visits do NOT incur an extra fee if they are in Windsor or Central London. Home visits outside of these areas are £80-£100 depending on distance.
At Yasmin Jones Osteopathy & Naturopathy we accept card and cash, and are also registered with all major health insurers (excluding Bupa).
